HeavyWeight Riddim

Here it is, a brand new riddim called the “Heavyweight Riddim”. Reble World Records has brought to the world a hardcore, gritty, bouncy edgy authentic Dancehall riddim back and the name speaks for itself. This riddim was produced with the direction that Dancehall used to be and bringing back that raw Dancehall vibes.

 

Heavyweight riddim was created with a few bongo drums and an Indian tabla, which was the foundation and structure of the riddim.  When I was building this riddim I had visions of the 90’s Dancehall scene, I guess you all remember the classic Dancehall movie “Dancehall Queen” there was a scene where I think the Hot Wax riddim was playing and people were dancing in the club, and I wanted to create something that was bouncy but had that serious element to it.

 

The riddim had a vybz that caught me and I voiced a track called “Mi yard” which I released as a single, but then I could hear more artists on it, so I said, “ meck mi tun dis inna juggling” (a compilation).

 

The Heavyweight Riddim features Heavyweight artists such as Grammy nominee Wayne Wonder, Grammy-winning producer Delly Ranx and Grammy Winner Mykal Rose, along with some of Dancehall’s finest Capital D, Froggy MaddSquad, BabyBoom, Menny More, Peppery and 90s Fella from Zimbabwe.
