“I-Yiy-Yiy Gonna Fight Till I Die Yiy-Yiy!!!!!!... Microphone in my hand I try to do better….” Sings Chardel perfectly capturing the essence of the title in the chorus of her contribution to the Nuh Fraid Riddim.
Originally my influence for the title came from the phrase “COME TES MI NUH”!!!! (Come and challenge me). Whether that be Bad Man, Sound Man or Bad Mind Man – we will meet you head on because we “Nuh Fraid” ah you (Not afraid of you).
Listening back to classics like the ‘Trilogy’, ‘Military’, and ‘Street Sweeper’ Riddims - I wanted to re-create that original dancehall pattern. Comprising the unique modern balance of today’s dancehall, whilst still not losing that real authentic feel.
Nuh Fraid features a wide range of international artists like Delly Ranx and Mr Murphy from Jamaica and the UK’s very own Mr Diamond (Birmingham), Peppery, Mexican (Manchester), as well as Chardel, Ill Mega, Ras Iwhan, and myself from London.
I have to big up all the artists who brought their creative talents to this project to bring it to life - also many thanks to Kennedy (Prezedent) Mensah who with his vision and input has made this project possible.
Last but not least - Give Thanks to the Most High.
THE NUH FRAID RIDDIM (REBLE WORLD RECORDS) WILL BE AVAIABLE ON ALL DIGITAL PLATFORMS

THE 87 RIDDIM
“Bands Man – Mix Mi Proppa”!!
My Inspiration for this Riddim came from listening to riddims from the time of the authentic dancehall era of the 1980’s. Riddim’s like the Stagalag, Sleng Teng, Answer, Sick & Tempo just to name a few. Riddims that even WITHOUT artists could set a dance afire!!!!
I wanted to bring back the feel from them time deh.
Being an artist aswell as a producer/ song writer I was determined to build a riddim which brought listeners and artists back to the 80’s with a modern accent. The 87riddim also has the feel of a Live band stage show mix in the verses - just like when artist’s in that era use to bawl out “ MIX MI” Imagine (Sting, SunSplash, think Shabba, Ninja, Admiral Bailey on stage and you get the picture).
The artists on the riddim who have brought this project to life are from Jamaica, America & The UK – namely; Delly Ranx, Hawkeye, Froggy Madd Squad, Taranchyla, Mr Diamond, Peppery, Mexican & myself, BabyBoom.
So sit back, turn the watts up high and grab a beer or a glass full of Hennessey and let’s go back to the days of authentic dancehall as we bawl “Bands man – Mix Mi”!!!!!!.

Story Book Riddim Available Now!!!
Riddims I’ve built over the years have pretty much been straight upfront hardcore dancehall, but with this riddim I have taken a different road a more subtle and diverse approach in creating a dancehall style RnB kind of commercial take.
The vibe came to me as I was watching a documentary about the music industry and a Jagged Edge track played and ‘ mi nah lie’ the riddim just took to me and same place same time, I picked up the drum machine and started to play a drum pattern followed by a acoustic piano which then became the lead instrument and the rest just fell into place.
Listening to the riddim it was a straight Rnb riddim, but I wasn’t happy and said to myself “Mi haffi add likkle dancehall in deh” and structured a mid eight bar (8 bars) verse sequence in a dancehall style, when hearing it made me say “Yeh ah it dis”.
Although busy with Riddims, voicing and as a father we have to take time out for the kids, so I was doing my “Daddy ting” by reading my youngest daughter a princess storybook. In the belly of the book it clicked to me, the riddim I just built sounds like a story, and so the name just connected with the riddim.
The artists that I could hear on this project was of a commercial but dancehall caliber, such as Kym Hamilton, Chardel, Delly Ranx, Froggy MaddSquad, and myself (BabyBoom), which took it in the direction I wanted. I also voiced a Zimbabwean artist by the name of F.I.O who added a next flavour to the riddim.
