THE DEPOSIT RIDDIM R.W.R

THE DEPOSIT RIDDIM

This Riddim is the first project I put together some 3years ago. I think it still feels current and fresh with arebellious type of ‘shat’ (vibes) to it. The Deposit Riddim takes you back to the days of the Hardcore Dancehall of the 1990’s. The continuous bounce makes you bawl out “Pull up Selector”, capturing the feeling and mirroring the Riddims from the bogle era.

I built it with a Hard Bass Kick, Hi-Hats snapping and authentic Percussion, which formed the foundation. Then I added modern synths with a real edgy Bassline. When it was finished it gave me a vibes. I felt like I was skipping to the Bank. So picturing that I said to myself… “Da riddim yah sound like a deposit mi ah deposit a likkle ‘food’enuh, and so said, I gave it the name ‘The Deposit Riddim’”.

I asked Delly Ranx if he could show me a ‘strengt’ on this project as I had previously voiced for his Pure Music label through an introduction from my publisher, Kennedy Mensah (Back 2 Da Future Music Ltd). During an interview on a Radio Station in South London (Playvybz) I had made the link with Peppery, who then introduced me to Mr Diamond and Mexican, who also voiced on the Riddim. Back in North-West London I hooked up with Ill Mega another up & coming Deejay and turned this not only into a juggling Riddim but a strong, heavy, hard-hitting dancehall Serial.

I gave out a promo pack to a few DJ’s and Sound Systems and the response was overwhelming!!!! The Deposit Riddim was being played across the world in countries such as Zimbabwe, South Africa, Spain, Portugal, and the rest of Europe, where I was getting a large following. The biggest joy of the time was being put on power play by Young Lion on BBC 1xtra – he also mixed my first official Mixtape. It was a great feeling to know that the world listening in to the UK could now hear it and gravitate to a Riddim that I’d built in my own home Studio.

CHAPTER 3 EPIC DANCEHALL - DELLY RANX EP

Reble World Records is proud to present ‘Chapter 3 - Epic Dancehall’ the new Extended Play (EP) Release from the Grammy winning Delroy Foster - Artist/Musician/Producer/DiscJockey/Soundman/Label Owner - better known as Delly Ranx a.k.a The “Worl General”.

Delivered by Artist/Producer BabyBoom for Reble World Records - this is six pieces of real authentic Dancehall from the Grammy winner in his Artist guise. Delly’s melody and concepts not only show his ability to deliver songs of substance, but also enable his fans - old and new - to relate to him as a person.

Coming from the same Publishing House - Back 2 Da Future Music Ltd - the link between the two was made through @B2DafMusic CEO, Kennedy ‘Prezedent’ Mensah for a Delly Ranx one Riddim Project in 2010. Since that time the two have featured on each other’s Riddims consistently, culminating in this set which is a return to the Dancehall for Delly who’s last album, ‘The Next Chapter’, was a Straight‘Reggae’ Project on his own Pure Music label.

The support of Delly Ranx to Reble World Records has been very much respected and appreciated and plays an influential part on the rest of the label’s productions.

“Big Thanks to Delly Ranx for being a humble and dedicated artist – Give Thanks for the‘Strengt’” – BabyBoom – CEO Reble World Records

"I wanted to create a modern Dancehall Riddim with a Hip Hop feel. So I was 'Medzing' Man Like Busta Rhymes and Jadakiss - both Hip Hop artists - and then i listened to some Stephen McGregor aka D Genius - One of jamaica's finest Dancehall/Reggae producers. Then i infused my own melodic flow. I was sipping some brandy at the time and when that deep edgy bass line hit me i was like - 'Yeah!!!!!!, Dis yah one name "Double Shot".

“I could ‘hear’ Delly Ranx’s flow within the Riddim so I link up the artis’ and asked ‘how a combination soun’ on this Riddim?’ He said ‘send over your vocals’ and within an hour Delly sen’ it back and that’s how the production started. I got such an energy and vibe just listening to the drum pattern and bass alone – it just sound “CRAZY”!!!!, so I end up voicing 3 songs on the Riddim. The Riddim also features Knock Shizzle and Peppery, and I did another combination with Ill Mega from outta North West.

So pour yourself a Double Shot, “Tun Up Di Ting and Fulljoy,!!!!!”

BABYBOOM - SOUND BWOY KILLING EP

Ringtone”

Friend: “Yow Boom, it’s Click, You know Saxon Sound Right?”

Boom: “Yeah man, me know dem but not personally, still.”

Friend: “Well ah wan’ mek yu do some Dubs fi Dem”

Boom Takes up the story…….

“I did about five or six Dubs for Musclehead and then he sent me a riddim which they wanted me to voice a “Special” on as they had a clash with Luv Injection in Birmingham. Up until then I’d just been recording songs that I’d already put on other Riddims, but this Riddim, The Fret Not by George Nooks? I had to write something specific for, and that’s how I came up with “Can’t Kill We”.

After that dance, I started gettin’ inundated with phone calls and messages via Facebook and Twitter from sounds from England, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean – even a couple soun’ from Japan. A few more custom made Dubs and Clashes where Babyboom featured heavily, I felt it might be time for something else – sometimes I have so much Dub work – I can’t even get to voice for the Producers.”

“So after having a (reasoning) “a conversation” with my Publisher, Mr Prezedent (Kennedy Mensah) C.E.O. of Back 2 Da Future Music Ltd he told me that I need to put out a Dubplate EP with some of the most requested dubplates I have voiced.”

“Maaan” Confirms Mr Prezedent from the Black House, “My BB and twitter was poppin’ off too after a couple of Riddim releases from the artist. DJ’s and sounds kept requesting the “Sound Killing” versions of the songs Boom was putting out. The other thing we noticed is that even though some of these Dubs were ‘Flattening’ Dances – not everybody knew EXACTLY who the artist was. So we got the idea to advise him to make some of the most requested Dubs commercially available”.

AND NOW THE WAIT IS OVER AS THE EP IS ABOUT TO “DOH ROAD”!!

Five slices of authentic SoundBwoy Annihilators ready to Rumble your Bass Bins and bring the Soundclash to your living room.
