Recognise Riddim

Recognise Riddim.jpeg

Recognise Riddim (The name speaks for itself)  – This Riddim has the feel and flavour of a Downtown Gangsta style (American) Hip Hop, combined with a (Jamaican) Rude Bwoy type feel, just hit the nail on the head!

Reble World Records has generated a name for producing hardcore Dancehall riddims, and this project is different but still maintaining the hardcore element that makes it a real Dancehall crossover riddim.

This riddim has a Hip Hop type beat, integrated with a few Hip Hop style strings, which give it that serious feel, also adding an arpeggio synth to give it that flow throughout. As the beat was bubbling I added some pianos in a one-drop Reggae style to add a "likkle bounce". The riddim needed something for the verses so we built an 8-bar dancehall construction that gave the beat a real Dancehall component with a few dancehall siren effects to just to highlight the beat change.

The artists featured on this project are Grammy Award Winner Mykal Rose, Grammy Award Winning producer Delly Ranx, BabyBoom, Capital D, Froggy MaddSquad, Xean Don, Kym Hamilton, Meny More and Famous Twenty, who’s contributions brought this project to life.

We released a single off the compilation, Mykal Rose Ft Capital D – What Ah Bam Bam at the beginning of the year, which created a buzz on the airwaves local and abroad.

I want to say special thanks to all the artists who featured on this project and give thanks to the most high for making this happen, big up to all those that listen, follow and support Reble World Records.
